About Me
My name is Travis Bensing. I am an Instructional Technology Specialist for the Cornwall-Lebanon School District. I am grateful to have the opportunity to work for my Alma Mater and live near the majority of my family. I earned my Bachelors degree in Secondary Mathematics Education from Millersville University and my Masters Degree in Educational Technology (MAET) through Michigan State University. I enjoy staying up-to-date with current trends related to education and technology.
As an Instructional Technology Specialist I play many roles. I provide personalized coaching and support to educators in regards to technology integration in their classrooms. In addition, I facilitate a course that is run for high school students called Clever Desk. This course provides students an opportunity to learn technical skills and customer service and also have time to pursue projects and competitions during "down" time. Other roles that I play include planning for professional development, maintaining the Instructional Technology Services Website, developing our district Web Accessibility Plan, maintaining subscriptions and learning management systems, and completing work orders for Instructional Technology related issues. My technology department currently consists of 11 members who all specialize in different components of technology. I am very blessed to be a part of a hard-working and fun team. My personal mission is to utilize my strengths and skills to help others. I believe that my compassion and empathy allow me to support others. I volunteer as a coach with our varsity track & field team and am a former varsity boys soccer coach. I believe that I am following my passion to help others through my skills and expertise in technology integration. I enjoy my role in my district as an emergent leader and coach. I look to continue to grow to develop into an even stronger leader in the future.
It is very important to me to be able to balance my personal and work life. I enjoy spending time with my wife, with whom I have been happily married to since November of 2017.
